Hi Steve Norton anxiety specialist here, I’m getting a lot more calls these days regarding cocaine addiction. What a lot of people don’t realise is when they’re taking cocaine is that the average cocaine, especially on Teesside area contains 5% cocaine.

What is inside cocaine?

So you got to ask yourself, what is the other 95%. Let’s face it if you’re putting your faith in a drug dealer! And what’s the chance that they’ll be putting something, fairly intelligent in there?
All they care about is money. All they care about is making more money out of you, they don’t care about what they’re putting in the wrap. You’re just an idiot to them, who’s spending all that money on cocaine.
And now, especially now the pubs are open people are probably doing more and more. But I guess before that we’re doing in the homes and stuff and it seems quite an innocent thing people don’t often think of themselves as having a problem with cocaine because I think  I only do it on the weekend.
I only do on the weekend so I don’t really have a problem! But what you got to really think to yourself, is this what is contained inside of it. Think of it from the drug dealers point of view, what would you put in that?

What could the real ingredients of cocaine be?

What would you do if you were the dealer? You just put in anything that would try to mimic it anything that would give you that sort of like tingly feeling. Some of the ingredients are rat poison, under the sink cleaning products. You’ve also got to think about that, that’s gone into your bloodstream, it’s also gone in your brain. So all that stuff is actually going around your brain.
So, I wonder what the long term consequences of that will be? Best of all, the consequences to your family, your friends, because it’s never just a simple thing of doing a little bit of a bit of coke on the weekend. It ends up on on a Wednesday night, then it ends up on a Thursday or Friday night, and before you know it, you’re doing it every day.
And you’ve really got to think about the consequences of that, because I get people phone me, and they’ve lost everything, they’ve lost the jobs, their wives, their children, everything they’ve just lost it due to cocaine addiction.

It’s just a bit of fun isn’t it?

And it all started out just having a little bit of coke on a weekend, and nothing, nothing too serious. And yes its mostly the boys, yeah I’m not saying that women don’t do it. Women clearly do it. But by far the amount of people that do it its men, men with a lot of money in the pockets too. Offshore workers, people have got a lot of time on their hands are the usual culprits.
People just never had money that they have today and yet on the weekend I think it’s part of that party thing and do a little bit of coke here and there but it will only lead to your downfall. These people are pretend to be your friends who offer you a little bit of coke, they’re not your friends, those people in your life actually your enemies.
They’re going to take away everything that you love in your life, that you are risking every single thing here, your relationship, your children, your job, your health, your mental health and for what? Sticking a bit of white powder up your nose!

Know your enemies

So anyone who tries to persuade you and tell you it’s okay just have a little bit of coke on the weekend, is not your friend. That’s actually your enemy, and you need to get the hell away from those people, because it will get out of hand, I will guarantee it and I get people who phone me but it’s gone beyond my help.
I can’t help them anymore because they’ve gone too far into it, they’ve lost everything they’ve had. They had nice cars, nice houses and everything and now they’ve got nothing. but just this living just nothing anymore now just mentally they’re, they’re absolutely terrible step. So think about that the next time someone offers you some cork, that little bit of innocent cork, they’ll get a sniff here and there, it isn’t innocent, it will lead to your downfall.

The solution

So don’t even start it, you don’t need it, if they need it, that’s fine, that’s their business. But that’s nothing to do with you, and you really need to look at the company that you keep, because if the company that you keep are all doing that on the weekend, you need to stay well well away from them because they will drag you down with them.
They don’t care. They want you to be done with them, but be smart, think about this. Think about how many people that you know, even celebrities who have been hooked on cocaine and stuff, and you know and that was probably the real stuff. God knows what the stuff is that you’ve tried. You can use only imagine what it must be.
So, think smart put your family self first and yourself first, and, and just say no to that cocaine addiction because it is the way to ruin. So I hope that makes sense, and have a fantastic day. I’ll see you again soon for another video. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel. Bye for now.

How to treat anxiety

So here today we have an interview with myself and Brian Cockerill. Therefore where we will discuss many aspects of mental health. I will provide some great tips and how we can start to change the way we think and feel about mental health. There are lots of topics included in this video in addition to a nice laid back approach.
Topics include motivation and also General Anxiety Disorder. Health anxiety, depression, OCD, and many other things in this light hearted interview. It’s nice to interact with the audience and answer questions from a live audience. 

Tips included in the video

Lack of motivation is a big issue for people today and I discuss how lack of goal setting is often the cause. You can’t be motivated if you have nothing to be motivated about!
Health anxiety is another issue that creates a lot of mental anguish these days. In the interview I discuss the symptoms and what we can do about it.
We will discuss my childhood growing up, bullying, an online trawling. Brian gives his own personal accounts to his life hence adding to this powerful interview. Brian discusses some of the struggles that he’s had to encounter in his own life, including drug addiction and also depression.

Get rid of anxiety

I want to talk a little bit about how to get rid of anxiety and one of the reasons why so many people with anxiety don’t actually end up getting the help for it.

Help for anxiety 

And obviously I’ve analysed this for a long time over the last 25 years. And for the last 25 years I have literally must have sat through 1000’s of hours of telephone consultations with people.

Hundreds of hours of reading messages from people on the internet who sent me messages telling me about their anxiety has ruined in their life and that they’ve not done anything for years.  Yet here’s the amazing thing, when you do actually then offer people the solution, many of them then go quiet.

They then start going, OK I’ll think about it. When you think about that and if you’ve had anxiety for years and it’s ruining your life and then somebody provides you with a solution. You’d think they’d jump at it. Why do they go quiet with it? Why don’t they go ahead with it? Here’s one of the reasons why, it isn’t every reason but it is definitely one of the reasons. It’s because they are looking for the magic pill.

The magic get rid of anxiety pill

They are looking for someone like myself to do some sort of miraculous thing that will just take their anxiety away without them having to do anything about it. And I’m very, very honest with anyone who ever comes to my anxiety programme, or even books in chat with me.

I always tell them that it always takes work, you always have to work at whatever it is that you have to do.

Now, let’s just imagine though, let’s imagine, let’s play devil’s advocate and pretend there was someone out there whereby you didn’t have to put the effort in. You could just go to see someone like myself and this amazing person was able just to take away your anxiety, years of anxiety, whatever it is all those symptoms you’ve got, and you wouldn’t have to work on it. Imagine that!

How much would that cost you? What would they charge for that service? They could charge whatever they wanted. In fact, they probably just wouldn’t work with regular people, they don’t be working with people like royalty, celebrities, millionaires, billionaires! 

Reality time

Back to reality, though, that doesn’t exist, that person out there does not exist. Everyone that joins my program has to work at it. This is one of the questions I get asked all the time was well.

How much time do I need to work on it Steve? And I’ll say, roughly, the average person has to put in two to three hours a week on my program for 12 weeks in order for it to be successful. They often reply, two or three hours a week, I don’t know I’ve got the time for that! Two to three hours yes, but think about this.

If you’ve got anxiety, you’re anxious for 16 hours a day. It actually works out at 112 hours a week. So if you’re not prepared to put three hours a week in versus 112 hours. Well then you’re going to have anxiety forever. So what I’m saying to you is this. Don’t look for that magic pill, don’t look for that special technique that someone’s offering.

When they say I’ll get rid of anxiety forever in about 20 minutes. It doesn’t exist, if they could do that that we charge in a million pounds of session. So, if you are serious about getting rid of anxiety and you’re considering going to my programme, I’m always very honest with people.

Nothing happens all by itself

You do have to work at it, everything in life that’s ever been worthwhile doing. It took effort. And if you’ve got anxiety and you’ve had it for a long time yes a little bit of a bugger to get rid of, but it’s not impossible. You just need to work with it, or work with me and we can do it, we can change it.

So, I hope that makes sense. And hopefully we get you on the anxiety program, and get rid of it, because it’s it’s raining on your parade it’s fine your life, you don’t have to have it. I’ve now been in anxiety free now for over 30 years and it’s not coming back and it’s gone.

So, when people take that you can’t get rid of it. Ditch those people, it doesn’t have to be a permanent thing. So I hope that makes sense, and I’ll see you again soon for another video. Bye for now.

Does counselling work for Anxiety

Hi Steve not an anxiety specialist here, I want to talk to you about something I hear almost every single week. Does counselling work for Anxiety? Often people tell me that they’ve tried counselling in the past, and they’re going back and try it again.

What is counselling good for?

Now, the thing with counselling is very very good for us to think bereavement, when we’ve lost somebody and you just need to talk to someone that’s really really good counselling is amazing for that. But let’s say for instance you’ve got anxiety.

You can’t just talk away anxiety you can’t just have a conversation about it and then that anxiety just going to disappear by itself. Does counselling work for Anxiety?  Counselling to try to get rid of anxiety is a bit like taking a toothpick to try to knock down a house. It isn’t going to work.

And when you think about the logic behind what most people do is they have counselling and then 5 to 10 years later they go back and have some more of it. So if it didn’t work before. It’s not going to work again. And it was Albert Einstein actually said that the definition of madness is trying to get a different result by doing the same thing.

What we need to do instead help with anxiety!

So we understand what counselling really is it is it isn’t for anxiety. Anxiety is very much a mind programme, it is like, almost like a computer virus that gets stuck in your mind. So simply talking about it won’t remove it. You’ve got to go into the source,

You’ve got to go into the, the hard drive if you like of the brain, and dig it out. It’s almost like or like imagine if you had a problem with your boiler, would you expect the boiler man to come around every week just have a chat about that, would you expect that to actually fix the problem. No you wouldn’t.

Anxiety is exactly the same, anxiety needs specific tools and techniques to remove it. So, if you’re one of these people who is anxious, and for years you’ve tried things in the past that haven’t worked.It simply makes no sense to go back to do more things that didn’t work. Does that even make sense?

No, of course it doesn’t. In order to change, anxiety, you’ve got to do something completely differently, you’ve got to, you’ve got to go see someone who deals with a day in day out. Who, that’s their bread and butter.

To summerise

So if you’ve got anxiety, and you want to get some help with it, jump on the phone, I can honestly say to people. I never persuade anyone to come to my programme. In fact it’s Tommy’s his way around.

If I don’t feel you’re right for the programme with a dog feel like you’re not ready for it as simply would never take on as a client. I only take on people that genuinely think I can help. How to remove Anxiety build up

Hi Steve Norton anxiety specialists here. Let’s talk about how to remove anxiety build up. So let’s face it for the last 14 months, we’ve all been through the wringer. We’ve all been tormented basically by what’s been going on in the world in life, and especially in this country.

How anxiety builds up

For the last 14 months we’ve been living under the lockdown restrictions and fear, and a lot of basically negative brainwashing. And there’s no way that that wouldn’t have had some sort of effect on us. I absolutely know, it has on people.

Because anxiety and stress is something that generally builds up and we almost like get used to it along the way. So, here’s the thing. Now that the shops have opened today. That doesn’t mean that anxiety is gone away, the residue of anxiety can stay with us for quite a long time.

So now is a good time to actually look at things and say look, it’s time I start to give myself a little bit of TLC. And we do that for everything else you know we go and get our hair done, we get our makeup done all that other stuff.

What we need to do

But we also need to do is look after our minds because our minds have literally been battered, for the last 14 months. Every time you put the radio on Coronavirus negativity every time you look at a bush shelter, pictures of the virus and the pandemics.

Anytime you put the TV, on the newspaper, we’ve literally, we have been put in a state of fear, for the last 14 months. There’s no way that hasn’t had some sort of cycler logical effect on everyone. That’s how anxiety builds up.

So what I’m saying to you is, now is the time to actually get some more normality back to life. And I can help you, I can teach you in a couple of ways. I can teach you how to start to reprogram out of your system.

All of this negativity that’s built up over the last 14 months. And there’s two ways I can do it, you can either work one to one with me, or you can go to my online only program. Both ways work really, really well.

Focus on the solution

We need to get rid of that residue that’s built up inside of you because of 14 months of just negative brainwashing. Let’s get some sort of normality back let’s get that happiness back let’s get you smiling again.
