How to get rid of anxiety

I understand that most people have tried things that hadn’t worked before seeing me. It’s rare that anyone calls me first.

Take action against anxiety today. Don’t let it win!

When people think about how to get rid of anxiety, the normal route is GP, medication, counselling and then CBT. Unfortunately in most cases these methods don’t work.

Just because those things didn’t work though, that’s nothing to do with my therapy. With most clients reporting feeling up to 50 % better after just one session with me it’s the logical choice.

If you have anxiety ask yourself. How’s my anxiety problem going to go away? Seriously how is it? Surely if you knew the solution you’d have fixed it by now wouldn’t you? So you replay the same thoughts and use the same strategy that didn’t work yesterday in the hope that by some miracle it will just go away.

You are worth the effort!

Don’t be the type of person who just accepts that you’ll have anxiety for the rest of your life so you mould a life around that belief. What a waste of life. It’s not weak to ask for help with anxiety. Quite the opposite in fact. It takes strength to pick up the phone. So if you’re thinking about how to get rid of anxiety you are not alone.

If you have anxiety, I can show you how to retrain your mind so that you can remove the faulty anxiety program that you’ve installed in your mind. I can show you how easy and painless the whole process can be.

Mental health isn’t rocket science but people make it so. So you can get in touch and do something about your situation, or stay the same. The choice is yours. What are you going to do? The clock is ticking.

Get in touch if you actually want to do something about your anxiety.

Change is easier than you think.

Facts about anxiety

With so much information about anxiety online these days it’s hard to seperate the facts from the fiction! Here is what most people aren’t telling you about anxiety….

The TRUTH can be hard to accept….at first.

All psychological problems don’t exist in reality. We make them up. They are a thought that we entertain. They are part of a fantasy we create. Then we utterly convince ourselves that they’re real and then we have a problem.

When I had anxiety I believed it was real. It felt real. It was happening to me. I woke up and it was there. In the pit of my stomach. It was the first thing I looked for when I woke up. I then knew I was going to have a bad day.

I then mentally planned my day. What could go wrong? What if this happened, what if that happened. Then I felt more anxious waiting for those things to occur. What I didn’t realise at the time is that I was PLANNING these things to happen.

How does anxiety start?

You see what you think about your mind thinks you want. If you imagine negative scenarios and endings your mind thinks you want this. Your mind gets to work on it.

The facts about anxiety is that most psychological issues are caused by the person creating habitual thought patterns. Running them through enough times so that they become their everyday thinking. Then they mould a life around the belief that they have a psychological problem.

Keeping control of your imagination

A lot of clients I see have convinced themselves that they in a worse place than what they actually are. My job is to break the habitual thought pattern and replace it with something more in line with what they want.

So now you know the facts about anxiety, If you can relate to this and would like to discuss this further please feel free to message me on here or via my website.

Warm regards

Disappointed by counselling or CBT?

Not what was expected? People who go for counselling or CBT often expect something that would give them some strategies that would help them to overcome their anxiety. They often wait a long time for an appointment and leave feeling more frustrated. They’re not alone. Approximately 90% of my clients have been through counselling and CBT and found it didn’t help or in some cases made them feel worse. So if you’re disappointed by counselling or CBT you are not alone.

Don’t wait too long for help!

So I received a message from a lady the other day asking for my help. During the course of the conversation it transpired that she contacted me 2 years ago but decided to “think about it”.

During those 2 years her anxiety didn’t improve and she went on medication. This increased over time and her anxiety only worsened.

So now she was finally ready to do something about the situation. Unfortunately due to the amount of medication she is now taking I couldn’t help her.

If she’d booked in 2 years ago she’d be fine now and drug free. Last year the NHS issued 64 million prescriptions for anti depressants.

We are becoming a nation of people who rely on drugs to live. Drugs are not living though. It’s a drug fuelled reality. It’s not real. Your personality is not real on drugs.

My advice is get help before you go down the drugs route, because once you’re down that path it can be a horrible place.

Get in touch if you want your life back.
