How to stop obtrusive thoughts

So people ask me all the time, how to stop obtrusive thoughts and what causes them. Obtrusive thoughts are habitual and can be corrected. The key is not letting them get out of hand. In this short video I will tell you what you can do about them.

What are obtrusive thoughts?

I want to talk to you today about something that’s a little bit taboo, something that rarely ever gets spoken about, but it’s something I hear literally every day in my office. Every day I get inquiries about these things, and what we’re gonna talk about today is obtrusive thoughts.

So what are obtrusive thoughts? These are thoughts that pop into your mind that you feel you’ve got no control over. And they start off fairly minor, and they can really explode and become quite serious. Some of the obtrusive thoughts that people have they the really horrify the person who’s having them.

These are decent people, people who would never ever do the things that the thoughts are thinking about in their mind. These are thoughts about killing people, and thoughts about pedophilia, having sex with children, even having sex with animals.

More and more these are things I’m dealing with more and more each and every day. I mean, obviously it’s not the sort of thing that people confide to the friends about often, but it is absolutely horrific for the person who is suffering from these.

How it starts

The thoughts and thinking patterns, sufferers have, they become mortified that at some point in the future they might actually go ahead and carry out some of the thoughts. So they are things that start off quite small. If you don’t get a handle on them the bigger they get, and can get a little bit out of control.

And I’m here to tell you that it’s more common than what you think. I find people for me up and they’ve been absolutely horrified, because they have ideas about stabbing members of the family, having sex with my mother or family, absolutely things that they would never do.

They are absolutely horrified at the idea of that, but it’s almost like the kind of thought gets stuck in their mind. And the more they tried to think about something else or not think about it, the more it seems to be there prevalent.

What you can do about it?

But the good news is that if you’re suffering from obtrusive thoughts, and you feel like it’s getting a little bit out of hand, he can actually be reversed, it can actually be worked on, and removed through my thought retraining process. I’ve used it many many times with people with great great success.

So what I’m gonna say to you is, if you want to message me privately in complete confidentiality, feel free to do that. We can have a little chat and I’ll talk you through how exactly we can help with those obtrusive thoughts. It’s simply something to get a handle on is not the sort of thing that you want to just let slide in this let’s see how it goes. Because the longer you do it, the more habitual they become. So I will not judge you with anything at all that you tell me on that telephone.

I will not be shocked by anything at all because I’ve literally heard it all. So, if that’s you and is suffering from obtrusive thoughts, whether that is the minor ones or whether they are really major ones. Get in touch and do something about it because I don’t want to hear about in five years time that you’ve been committed to an institution, because you’ve literally sent yourself mad with it. So, get in touch. If that’s you, and let’s get inside, not alone. So, I’ll see you again soon for another video and have a great day.

You don’t have to just accept it!

Sometimes people have thoughts that they wish they didn’t have. Horrible thoughts. Thoughts about things they would never do. These thoughts are the cause of much stress. Thoughts about pedophilia, murder, sexual deviancy or often the recurring thoughts people struggle with.

Part of the OCD family, obtrusive thoughts are normally pretty straight forward to treat.

I have been treating people with obsessive and obtrusive thoughts for over 20 years. I use a combination of Thought Retraining and Hypnosis to remove this stubborn condition. Thought Retraining is Steve’s own tried and tested formula for changing the thought patterns that have now been habitually installed due to repetition.

In as little as 4 sessions we can remove your obtrusive thoughts. Hypnosis is an amazing tool for changing the thought patterns and replacing them with healthier ones.

If you want to get rid of yours get in touch.
